Will Taking An Act Prep Class Look Bad To Colleges?


next year(11th grade) I am taking an ACT prep class along with AP bio,AP english,AP Government,Honors pre-calc,spanish 3,economics (only because it’s required). I want to take the ACT class becuase we do like 6 practice tests and other useful things. will taking this class look bad to colleges?

    Not at all! In fact, just the opposite. I think your academic record speaks for itself and colleges notice that. Taking a prep class says to colleges that you really care if you do well on the ACT and are willing to take necessary steps to do so. It says that you are a hard worker and committed to academic excellence. You should be very proud and any college would be lucky to have you.

    No not at all!!! ACT prep will benefit you so much that it is well worth taking! in high school, i took 8 college classes (including ACT prep). my school actually required it! Anyways colleges look greatly at standardized test scores so a good ACT score may be the equivalent of taking rigourous classes.

    No, just the opposite. It will look good to colleges. It shows you’re thinking ahead and taking the test seriously.
